A super thread. Discussing the average levels of fitness is great way to start the conversation.

Exercise is probably the single best way to extend lifespan. You need to exercise like your life depends on it. Because it does. Here's why. 👇🧵 /1

Today's #ASCO21 abstract share: Lin et al. showed that #larotrectinib is effective and save in patients with advanced NTRK-gene fusion lung cancer, including patients with CNS metastases. Another valuable findings in the #NTRK field! @alexdrilon @JPatelMD @ASCO #MedEd

This day 177 years ago – 3 June 1844 – the hypodermic needle, invented by Irish doctor Francis Rynd, was used for the first time. Rynd used an improvised syringe to inject morphine into the face of a woman with neuralgia, who was in severe pain, in Dublin's Meath Hospital.

Great thread. An important counter point to our cultural phenomenon of not being comfortable at saying we did something well. Well done all and thank you.

In our geographical region, Ireland per capita had: -fewest deaths -fewest deaths in youngest demographics -fewest nursing home deaths -lowest Case Fatality Rate in healthcare workers -objectively world class testing There's no way to argue it was a failure for our region.
