Governor Hochul said. “Let's be honest with New Yorkers: the only thing that will solve the housing affordability crisis is building hundreds of thousands of homes. New Yorkers are tired of waiting, and so am I.”
Last year, I pushed for the most ambitious housing plan in the nation, but many of the loudest opposing voices said they believed in local control. New York City wants to build hundreds of thousands of new homes. So I say: Let them build.
