This data reminds me of the debate in prior decades regarding the seven-hour school day & block schedule. With no significant academic impacts, what is then best for the children in each community? @MASALeaders
Key findings regarding research on the four-day school week show no significant differences in academic achievement & building growth as compared to other school districts.
iDS was excited to work with @WebbCitySchools on this E-sports addition to the high school. The gaming arena is laid out with 20+ gaming stations and a centralized “theater” area to support gamers and spectators alike for this fast-growing program.
Hey Gang. Guess what? It’s Wednesday not Thursday. It has been a long morning. However, still no school today for WEDNESDAY, February 23. We do not expect anything to happen before mid morning. However the forecast is saying we will have ice by this afternoon. Be Careful.
Good morning. National Weather Service is predicting ice accumulation from mid morning through the afternoon. Based on this forecast, we think it is best to go ahead and cancel school for today.. Thursday, February 23.
Last school year, MO ranked 5th in the U.S. for the highest proportion of in-person learning taking place. We continue to be so proud of and thankful for the hard work educators & staff are doing to prioritize in-person learning during the pandemic #MissouriSOTS #ShowMeSuccess
This group of kids go mostly unnoticed on football game days but are a big part of what we do for home games. They handle the video production for our live streaming and the video board during the game. I am proud and grateful for all their hard work. The best video crew around.
Congratulations to our own WCHS Principal, Josh Flora. He is the Southwest Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals New Principal of the Year. What an incredible and well deserved honor. @WebbCitySchools @WCHSCARDINALS #wearewebbcity
Congratulations, Class of 2021! As Duke Ellington would always say, “We Love You Madly!”
What a great Evening. Congratulations Class of 2021. You did it!!!
Thank you Mary. We had the easy part. The hard work and credit goes to our amazing staff and students. Blessed to be a part of this family.
A5: Without the leadership and commitment of @bbyrd1995, @kcooper1969, and @rossettiTony, WC would not be where we are today with COVID. They predicted what might happen, planned, and carried out an amazing amount of work that WORKED! I am so grateful for them! #wcedchat
Senate Bill 55 is coming up for a vote soon. It includes vouchers, charter school expansion without accountability and other provisions damaging to our public schools. Contact your state senator now and urge a “no” vote on this bill hostile to public education in Missouri.
We are extending our enrollment deadline. Enroll online at wcr7.org/domain/1150 or stop by Webb City Middle School tomorrow from 1:00pm-8:00pm.
