I have no opinion on whether Bitcoin is entering a bear phase or not, but here are some things people say in every bear market, that have been proven wrong every time: 0/

Kinda interesting results here: Of the set of bitcoiners who support drivechains, a majority of them are early bitcoiners (relatively). Of the set that oppose drivechains, the majority came to BTC later.

You took self custody of your first BTC _________ 2016 and you __________ drivechains.

This account live-tweets WW2 in real time every day. They've gone through the whole 6-year war twice now (I think). Today is Sept 1st - the day Germany invaded Poland. The 3rd time through the war starts today. It'll take 6yrs. Great time to follow this account right now.

Nazi SS troops dressed as Poles are attacking the German radio station in Gleiwitz, near the German-Polish border, to provide a false pretext for a German attack on Poland.

In case anyone's losing perspective about bitcoin's multi-year performance... Or specifically BTC vs other major assets during and post covid - that's right, BTC has retained massive outperformance over the full period.

I don't like Vivek's tack to being more Trumpish lately, but generally agree here. Best bet so far.

So not all that strange for another few weeks. You traders sitting there pushing buttons on no news here in August just need something better to do.

Lot of questions like "How abnormal is this?" This is longer than normal for a case argued in March. If it goes beyond Labor Day, then it becomes pretty strange. If we go through all of September without a decision & goes into October then its *very* abnormal. cc @SGJohnsson

If you made $500,000 per day, every single day since the Great Pyramids were built, you would have less than half of what the US govt has borrowed since June. Should probably buy some #Bitcoin

Said another way: We need inflation to cover Treasury spending.

"We need fiscal consolidation to stop inflation." Great, just tell us what to cut: -Entitlements (65% of now-falling tax receipts, $3.1T) in an election yr -Treasury spending (25% of receipts), can only be cut by cutting rates or defaulting -DoD & VA (22%) in a new Cold War

If Biden is reelected there’s a real chance the US doesn’t make it to 2028 in its current form. Same with Trump. National divorce is a real possibility. You have to start thinking about supporting outside candidates now if you want the Republic to survive next year.
