We are tired of waiting. More research on ageing will make a difference to people’s lives. @BSRAgeing campaign launched today. Please share bsra.org.uk/2697-2/

So sad to hear this, Judith Campisi was such an influential and inspiring figure to me. I remember reading her work when I first developed an interested in aging. Rest in peace.

I'm deeply saddened to share that we have lost a remarkable friend, a wonderful mentor and esteemed colleague, Judith Campisi. Judith's impact on those around her was profound and lasting. Her legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Judy. You will be greatly missed

We've successfully closed ~$2.8M (1,108 ETH) for cryopreservation research together with @kaimicahmills, @emilkendziorra, @elimohamad and a fantastic community of scientists and cryo enthusiasts.

What a ride! 🥶 CryoDAO has successfully closed a monumental ~$2.8M fundraise (1,108 ETH) on Juicebox! CryoDAO's goal is to solve death by funding, incubating and advancing cryopreservation research 👉 cryodao.org

This just dropped - the most important milestone in the history of longevity biotech. loyalfordogs.com/posts/loyal-an… Thread on what this means below

Robert Reposted

1 - Loyal has earned what we believe is the FDA’s first-ever formal acceptance that a drug can be developed + approved for lifespan extension 2 - We have 'technical section complete' AKA the 'does it work' data for LOY-001 - our large dog lifespan extension drug - is done

If this research fraud set back a cure for Alzheimers by on average 10 years, it would have cost us 250 million quality-adjusted life years (QALYs). I'm sorry to use provocative language, but that would put it among history's worst crimes against humanity.

Were two separate, major lines of Alzheimer’s research tainted by image fabrication, with far-reaching implications for the field? I take a deep look for @ScienceMagazine science.org/content/articl… 🧵 1/11

wow - michael levin's lab regenerated the limbs of a frog with ~only 24 hours~ application of hydrogel + drugs, then webbing/cartilage/tissue regenerated. Not aesthetically perfect limbs but this drug formula was just their first attempt before optimization absolutely incredible

Super excited to see this come out: science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… @msahsorin, @kaplan_lorax, and many others. Key points: 1) Just 24 hour stimulation with our MDT (= drugs + bioreactor) causes >1 year of leg growth. 2) very large, *adult* Xenopus (not just froglets/juveniles) 1/n

We've raised another $27M! Our goal: develop FDA-approved drugs to extend dog healthspan (quality of life) + lifespan (years of life) Our meta-goal: dog aging learnings --> human aging drugs tcrn.ch/2XIXZzD

Longevity has the potential to be to traditional medicine what crypto is to traditional finance. It changes the terms of the debate.
