[FINAL] October 31st, Sunamura no onryō (すなむらのおんりょう/the ghost of Sunamura) every night an animated pumpkin comes to life and walks the pumpkin patches of Sunamura while carrying its head 🎃
October 30th Mikoshi nyūdō (みこしにゅうどう/anticipating priest) this yokai approach’s anyone alone at night and transforms from a monk into a monster. Its neck grows the further you look up.
October 29th, Kitsune (きつね,fox) a nine tailed shape shifting fox that tricks humans and eats their souls. The Kitsunes tail splits every 100 years until it turns 900 years old. When this yokai turns 1,000 years old it becomes a fox god and no longer eats human souls.
October 28th, Karakasa kozō (からかさこぞう/paper umbrella) a tsukumogami of an old umbrella. It’s pretty harmless and surprises people by licking them.
October 27th Yūrei (ゆうれい/faint spirit) a once living human that became a ghost. It has no legs ,haunts certain people ,and also has the same appearance it had in the living.
October 26th Nukekubi (ぬけくび/removable neck) a yokai whose head detaches when it goes to sleep at night. It sucks the blood of animals and humans until sunrise where it then connects back to its body as if nothing happened. It has no memories of its nightly activities.
October 25th, Hakutaku (はくたく,white marsh) a legendary yokai that lives in the mountains. It three eyes on its head and three eyes on each side of its body accompanied by six horns.
October 23rd, Ōmukade (おおむかで,giant centipede) is a aggressive giant man eating centipede that can only be weakened of killed by human saliva.
To this day, these moments are still my favourite part of every arc.
