this is one of the reasons why we are seeing solo doctors sell their practice to private equity… add in maintaining board certification, marketing, business operations , documentation and dealing with insurance companies

Not saying they’re correct, but I understand why some people advocate for limited government. All of this to run a pediatrician’s office. And, I guarantee each is a giant headache. Imagine being a solo doctor wanting to open your own practice?

Better patient outcomes come from analyzing healthcare data quickly and safely. Truly amazing to build a company that can power this with my cofounder @johnkuhn58

It costs hospitals $250,000 to $1 million to replace one physician (who quits for burnout, lack of compensation, better opportunity, etc.) Why hospitals rather spend this $ on recruitment than on making their own employed physicians happy is beyond me.

our work showing that ChatGPT passed the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) is published @PLOSDigiHealth! there's tons of chatter about LLMs in healthcare. AI is not going to replace doctors anytime soon, but here are the key takeaways from this work: 👉 journals.plos.org/digitalhealth/…

After 3 years of heroic and lifesaving work by our nation’s infectious disease physicians, seeing several tweets from top-notch ID fellowship programs that didn’t fill their match speaks volumes about how screwed up our system of rewarding doctors is.

Does anyone have a contact at an organization that buys healthcare data?

A non-medical friend recently asked me to describe clinic. I told her to imagine you have 20 meetings in a day, half of them new clients with urgent needs. Each requires your best self. You are late for at least 10 of them. You must prepare a report and deliverables for each one.

Congrats! One of the hardest working people I know! Can’t wait to see what you do @Commsor

Insanely hyped to finally share the news, along w my cofounders, that DeepALTR has officially been acquired by @Commsor 🎉🍾🥂

Who should I meet in tech in San Diego this weekend?
