For those wanting to put a face to the name, this is Jonah Charles Ullendorff, of tire-chalking article fame on the new episode of @AdvOpinions!! Congratulations Jonah—what fun!

Today, only two months into his SCOTX clerkship, my New Yorker law clerk arrived in chambers wearing his new cowboy boots. Ladies and gentlemen, my work here is done.

So fun to swear in Jake McIntosh and welcome him to the Texas bar with Phillip Allen, his co-clerk from the 21-22 ⁦@SupremeCourt_TX⁩ term. It is a joy to watch clerks grow in the profession.

Current law clerks meeting with incoming law clerks to share tips on how to succeed in chambers and get the most out of the upcoming year. Because this is @SupremeCourt_TX, this meeting is held over tacos.

Fun to give the Family Law Update this morning at the Texas Center for the Judiciary conference. Thanks for having me!

Loved yesterday’s panel discussion on civility in the courtroom and why it matters. It was a delightful storytelling session with Chief Justice Terry Adams, Judge Cheryl Thorton, and our fearless moderator (and my law school classmate), Shawn Raymond.

Women who paved the way

#TBT 🔙 2013 #HemphillDinner Keynote—retired #SCOTUS Justice & native Texan, Sandra Day O’Connor—alongside every female #SCOTX Justice to have ever served during a regular term. Since then, Justices @courthouse_mom & @RebecaHuddle have joined SCOTX. #AppellateTwitter⚖️📸🏛

A very worthwhile meeting and summit of the Judicial Commission on Mental Health. Grateful for the decades of service of the fine judges pictured here and of so many others in the room working to improve outcomes for Texans living with mental health challenges. #jcmhsummit2023

Rare image of chambers team walking back from lunch in jackets in May, smiling rather than sweating.

Was a delight to meet this warm group! We compared our laws and court systems and I hope to someday visit their courts!

Chief Justice Nathan Hecht and Justices Jeff Boyd, Jimmy Blacklock, Rebeca Huddle, and Evan Young welcome a delegation of Brazilian federal judges, visiting Austin for a conference on constitutionalism at @UTexasLaw Bem-vindo! @JeffBoydTX @JusticeYoungTX @rebecaahuddle

Delighted to host this wonderful, inquisitive group of student body leaders from Uvalde High, Morales Junior High and Batesville School!!! The choice of prizes was inspired by a good friend who once gave me a dictionary and inscribed “Always use the right word.” 📖

Justice @rebecaahuddle passed out prizes in an impromptu quiz about the separation of powers. The prize? A dictionary! She told the students: “I know - a dictionary. But I love words.” She inscribed the books with “Words open worlds.”

On top of being a trailblazer, Justice Sondock is an excellent hostess and storyteller. Also makes a mean lemon martini.

What a treat for me to spend some time with the FIRST woman to be a Texas Supreme Court Justice, Ruby Sondock; the LONGEST-SERVING woman Justice in our history, @JusticeLehrmann; and the NEWEST woman Justice, @rebecaahuddle I’m proud that each brilliant jurist is my friend.

Delighted to learn the Houston Chronicle has recommended that Texas voters cast their vote for me. I’m honored to serve Texas. #HuddleUp RebecaHuddle.com

The Houston Chronicle Editorial Board recommends Debra Lehrmann, Rebeca Huddle and Evan Young for the Texas Supreme Court. (@JusticeLehrmann @rebecaahuddle @JusticeYoungTX) houstonchronicle.com/opinion/endors…

I am grateful for each and every vote! And I’ll continue to work hard on SCOTX every day to earn each vote again this November!

Congratulations to Justice @rebecaahuddle on her primary win for the Supreme Court of Texas!
