The moments where I’ve compromised myself and my values for something or someone… have by far been the most painful and important lessons I’ve learned. Grateful for every one.
Perspective is a choice we all have control of. Keeping a good perspective is very hard work but will provide a sustainable boost in gratitude.
You can get ahead in life and still be kind. Be a fighter without being a bully. Swim without being a shark. Be vulnerable and still be strong. Step up without stepping on and over others. You can live with love for self and others.
No one does it alone. Remember that the next time you think you did it alone. Say thank you. Live grateful.

Be grateful for your critics, if you’re open enough to objectively examine their opinions, they could have the honest information you need to improve. If you weren’t worth the time, they would say nothing at all.
Most times we are tempted to hit back
When someone is hurtful there is an urge to hurt back. 2 wrongs do not make a right. The time is much better spent taking care of you and understanding the hurtful person isn’t who you thought they were. Let them live with hate, life is much more enjoyable with love.
