This is totally crazy. Like if the operators of rubygems dot org just decided to expropriate the official Rails gems, hand over control to a new team, and lock the core team out of it. We're in uncharted and dangerous territory for open source now. What a sad sight.

We have been made aware that the Advanced Custom Fields plugin on the WordPress directory has been taken over by WordPress dot org. A plugin under active development has never been unilaterally and forcibly taken away from its creator without consent in the 21 year history of…

``` let formatter = DateFormatter() formatter.dateFormat = "dd/MM/YYYY" ``` Did you know that this is not a correct way to format a date? 🤨 Let me explain why it's (really) wrong! 🍿
Swift's new observation tools revolutionizes nearly every aspect of the Composable Architecture. This week we show how it immediately obsoletes the concept of a “view store” for observing state in a view. That alone is huge, and it's just the start! 👉 pointfree.co/episodes/ep259…
We’re about to completely revolutionize the Composable Architecture with Swift’s new Observation framework! But first, a sneak peek: we’ll take the public beta for a spin to see the concept of a “view store” completely vanish when using the new tools. 👉 pointfree.co/episodes/ep259…
The macro bonanza train keeps on rollin’… Today we are releasing a huge update to our Dependencies library that makes it easier than ever to use structs-of-closures to design your dependencies, and ditch the protocols. Learn more: pointfree.co/blog/posts/120…
If you have any "useless" Swift protocols like the one in the picture, you can tag them with the _marker attribute to save a bit of app size. This was added along `Sendable` to represent protocols that have some form of compile-time importance, but do nothing in runtime.
My first video from space! Looking at the Earth through the window of Dragon Resilience. The scale of detail and sensory inputs made this a breathtaking perspective!
