I always discuss a potential referral with a fellow writer. When I receive emails without any prior conversation, I question whether it’s legit. How about you? Do you discuss potential clients with other writers before referring them?
Ask your client for one area where they think you can improve. Even with zero edits, don't assume everything is going well; get feedback. There might be some things you're unaware of.
