Last Steam Day at Dunaskin, nr Ayr. This is a view of our newly extended running line, looking towards the Southern Uplands. We're based at Dunaskin, only ten miles from Ayr town centre. Take the A713 towards Dalmellington, and Dunaskin can be found just a mile beyond Patna.

Glad I'm indoors today, writing. The weather in the North East this morning is a stark contrast to last weekend. Here 43320 is pictured at the rear of a diverted @LNER Aberdeen-KX service on the afternoon of Saturday 21 September heading through Haydon Bridge. ©️ Graeme Pickering

👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ We're making good use of the railway closure between Bristol, Weston-super-Mare & Taunton. 🛠 As well as track & bridge work in north Somerset, we're doing drainage at Parson Street in south Bristol - all to improve reliability for passengers. ℹ networkrail.co.uk/north-somerset/

Another Engineers Train today, this time at my staple spotting location Ninn Lane: Colas 70813 on Rainham - Hoo Junction. Rather rare to see a 70 in these parts! #TMRGUK

Glorious indeed! Not only does it look the part, it works as well and has been out on test today. Bring on the gala! Pic by Midi. @SVRDiesels @svrofficialsite
