Have you heard about @tweetsomemoore and @KatieNovakUDL's upcoming virtual three-part series this January 11, February 6, and March 27, 2023, from 4–6 pm PT? You can watch this short video to hear what it's all about, then register at bit.ly/ZoomingInAndOut #ISW #UDL #Inclusion

I am constantly rethinking grading practices. The ultimate goal is for students to learn the skills and concepts. Low scores don't motivate all kids - sometimes it just deflates them. Revising and reassessments should be options for all kids without punishment.

Kid scores 100% on a retest... Only given a 70%. For what possible justification do we put scores in the gradebook that do not match what a student knows? There is no average time to learn something. Punishing students for taking longer to learn something seems archaic

How can students revise work in a #schoology assessment? Any thoughts? Other than completely resubmit the entire assignment. (5th grade math worksheets)

Food for thought from @burgessdave #innedco2022 What are the student experiences you are creating? Would they buy a ticket to attend your lesson?

@DrBradJohnson I’m loving Principal Bootcamp! “Arrogance is much worse for success than even ignorance “! Truth!

Remember, if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.

Focus on strengths.

Maslows and Bloom have the same ultimate end; individuals who are creative or able to create. Both require our strengths and talents to achieve them. If we focus mainly on weaknesses neither will be fully actualized.

It all comes down to relationships. Without trust there is no relationship. Without relationships no real learning occurs.
