ON WELL BEING: weight training and transcendental meditation can solve almost all problems. Exercising daily allows body to take stress which builds resilience of the nervous system. Depression is a part of creative toolkit.
ON SYSTEMS: Jerry's guiding principle is to systemize problems in series of small steps. "I think operating system would be the best term for what I’ve created, because it’s very pragmatic. It’s not faith-based in any way. But that’s one of my biggest principles is confront."
ON WRITING: Jerry learned writing was vital to comedy. "You learn to be a writer. It’s really the profession of writing, that’s what standup comedy is. However you do it, anybody, you can do it any way you want, but if you don’t learn to do it in some form, you will not survive."
