Most podcasters are working gimmicks. Fans engage w/them as if it's real. That's kayfabe. Just like in-ring, they may interject some shoot beliefs in there at times when they think it enhances the act. Still, best to just treat them as such. Babyfaces and heels cutting promos.
Dutch Mantell is working an anti-AEW gimmick on his podcast that some have played to great success. That's wrestling. More power to him. Tony Khan and Chris Jericho are smart enough to see that's all it is, but for whatever reason, it flew past Dave.

Hello, fan of old wrestling. We understand that & take it into account when analyzing old wrestling. Also episodic television exists where the goal is to write shows that entertain people in the moment & get them wanting to tune in next week.
Missing the point that people's jobs in writing books and movies weren't based on getting the people to come back and pay money to see them again a week or three weeks later.
This is so bad for the country, and also my menchies.
I used to think the Great Depression sounded like an awful time period, then Terry Funk told me I couldn't form opinions of it because it wasn't a period of suffering designed for me.
