The issue is many of these employees are not doing their jobs, are poorly managed, inflate the effort needed, and their crappy managers are taking their word for it/trusting them bc they don't know better/are pressured to not be too demanding. Great recipe to be replaced!

I’m convinced ~10% of remote workers have a second job

There have been no good inventions in the past 50 years. Just iterations and improvements. Change my mind. Best one I know of: those nubs on the F and J keys that do SO MUCH work.

I feel sorry for older folks who don't get to experience the deep joy of enjoying young kids without the worry and responsibility. Proud that my gen/sibs have put 13 new lives on this earth and might not be done! My nonna has ~23 gkids and might hit 30! That's blessedness

I know a huge number of people in their 60s and 70s with one grandchild at most. Many with zero. These people had 3-4 kids of their own, and they assumed their kids would do the same. They planned for 10-15 grandkids at this age. Not for me to judge, but it’s sad to see.

Who else is on this "I will never drink" movement? None of my friends 🤷🏽‍♂️ IDK bout y'all but I'm at a place where I wish I *could be drinking more. Still too much on my grizzy. High quality problem to be not drinking so you can get more shredded. Good on y'all w/e you are!

<a short rant that will ruffle some feathers> One of the biggest cultural shifts in recent years is around alcohol consumption. For my entire adult life there’s been a weird stigma around *not* drinking in certain social and business settings. Now suddenly it has flipped……

Best ab workout in the world: Trying to sit up straight in a cab where the driver only jams the gas/break It's like the business version of a bosu ball on a water bed in a John boat on the ocean during a storm.

Your next breath IS your second chance at life. What are you going to use it for? That's your choice to make. Nobody can take that away from you. But that will define who you are! - Johan Koornhof

What’s that fella doing to that coupon?

Hey Charlotte, we're all ready to move on from summer. Give it a rest, OK?

If anyone is going to be my lawyer in an active court battle (I never plan to need one for divorce) Please note I may email you upwards of 9 times over a month And consider it completely normal.

I responded to 86 emails from a client over a 9 month period during her divorce. She won custody, assets, alimony, the works. Then she left a review that said, “She was good in court but communication with her is nearly impossible.” I don’t know what you people want from me.

More executives need to understand this. Somehow front line workers know it the best, and execs are still clueless. Eating crap anecdotes from milquetoast managers and wondering "Why...?"

We can 2X location sales overnight by changing the manager Same location, marketing, pricing, equipment, etc It's easy to have a bunch of excuses on why we aren’t hitting the numbers In reality we just have the wrong person running the show

🔥 Hit Take 😳 @HeyDudeShoes are the new @Crocs and I won't stand for it. Is it really worth sacrificing your self respect in the altar of comfort?

If you need more reason to NOT buy tickets on @united, they will now make you miss your flight if you don't get to the airport, wait in line for customer service, and check in manually MORE THAN AN HOUR before your flight. No online check in. Doesn't matter how short TSA lines.

Life hack alert🚨 If you make up to $150K salary per year, you should pay for any service up to $75/hr. Landscaping, door dash, thumbtack... But you want to get massages ($80-90/hr), software coded ($80-120/hr),etc? Start working 20-30 hrs/week and you're making $100-150/hr!

What are you supposed to tip your dry cleaner when you pick up your shirts? (if you wear athleisure to work every day you can keep scrolling)

Checked out of hotel today: In addition to the $64 a night resort fee: A $39 a night automatic tip

This list is 80% right and 20% 100% wrong. Turtle neck is the most flattering thing a man can wear Dbl breastfeed if you're in great shape or really fat Dress shoe styles in context (tassel, monk) Oxford as long as not with a suit/tie Good bait though!

Here are 40 things a man should never wear: 1. Flips flops unless you’re near a pool or beach. 2. Flamboyant pocket squares. All it says is you pay $1,200 a month for a car you can’t afford. 3. Statement socks. They don’t give you personality or style. 4. Cargo shorts. 5.…

Aren't all paper products "made from plants"? Just saw this on a cardboard box. This feels like saying my software has "no GMOs, additives, or known carcinogens." My next venture, Non Sequitur Marketing: creative campaigns and slogans that sounds great and indicate no value.

Leadership Like Kung Fu In Kung Fu there is a rough progression of difficulty through weapons: Fist } sword } staff } nunchucks } 3 section staff } chain whip } You can debate the set/progression, but 3 section is sig harder than bow staff. Leadership progression is the same.

I hate to admit it. I am often the bottle neck. I want to keep my fingers in all the pies. I am slowing the team down. Need to let go and delegate. That’s so much easier said than done.

I can't imagine the scenario where I pay a one-off upgrade to board earlier for a flight. Y'all're wild (or maybe just sooooo rich)

Can something help me explain to my 3 and 5 yr olds why a dead lizard is more consequential than a dead toy? Like, batteries won't fix this one, guys.
