This is true when I was younger I didn’t understand why my grandma used to go to a lot of things she was invited to. But now I am older I really get it, friendship at the core of it is about showing up. So now I too make an effort to make time to show up.
Most of the trick to having friends as an adult is accepting all invitations and then subsequently showing up.
