Things people say when they have never interacted with a machinist:

I say this with love in my heart. Every machinist alive should be deeply ashamed there isn't a widely available set of feeds and speeds for every machine/tool/material combo. As an autodidact, this was one of the most unwelcoming moves I've seen in any industry.

how are the machining people determining ballpark feeds and speeds? I have an old chart from school but wondering if there are any good excel sheets, calculators etc.

EUV scanners gobble up hydrogen. With the first high-NA EUV system shipped, we are starting to see more pictures of what an assembled system looks like. No, I'm not talking about a big white box we were used to seeing inside fabs or CAD cartoon drawings, but real pictures of the…

I’m voting Yes. When it comes down to brass tacks, Peter Dutton is only endorsing No to deny the PM a political win. This vote should be bipartisan. Make it bipartisan by voting Yes.

I, for one, welcome our pico overlords

I was being literal. 10x in 3 dimensions. Definitely possible. Power is tougher, cost is easier. The power of the periodic table is not close to being realized
