Remote work opportunities are disproportionately located in left-leaning areas, state-movers are 45% more likely to work remotely, and since 2020, cross-state movers have primarily relocated from blue to red states. #USelection @pj_lambert @chris_e_larkin ow.ly/GUJP50TX6Oh

Love this idea for many reasons, but also a hugely useful data repository to study science of science!

Why isn’t there a central webpage, whereby all job market candidates can upload a link to their papers, websites & topics? Departments could then search for desired specialisms. This would be a fantastic public good, Expanding on the initiative of @jenniferdoleac

AI is not all about data (though that's my jam!), it also opens up huge possibilities for computational analysis e.g. in macroeconomics. @NunoGalo @jlperla and Jesús' paper summarises this aspect super well!

After the recent Nobel prizes, many economists are wondering how recent advances in deep learning may affect economics galonuno.com/uploads/1/3/4/…
