🇱🇷 public lands can generate the jobs + environmental progress we need in this moment of #Covid & #Climate crisis. Bipartisan #REPLANT Act unlocks this potential on America's national forests, including almost 49,000 jobs. @AmericanForests #ReforestAmerica @1t_org #TrillionTrees

Yesterday our Chairman and CEO Stephen Killeen was part of @KingCountyWA's launch of it becoming the first U.S. local govt to deliver a certified carbon credit program. The program protects local forests and will be a part of @Microsoft's carbon neutrality naturalcapitalpartners.com/news-media/art…

Thanks to all the partners who joined me today as King County became the nation's first local government to offer a certified carbon credit program that will protect local forests, confront climate change and promote healthy habitat.

An intriguing new study estimates that "natural climate solutions" — better management of forests, grasslands, soils, etc. — could help offset as much as 21% of current US emissions. A pretty big deal! States are starting to pay much closer attention: nytimes.com/2018/11/14/cli…
