Today was my last day at @remote, so if folks know of any open Engineering Manager or Staff Engineer positions I'd be grateful for the leads! Resume here: devonestes.com/resume

Ready now to take on support calls for from election helpers for the 🇪🇺 elections today. Hope I‘ll get some fun cases to handle today :)

In 1933 some people thought the Nazis might soften up in government responsibility. It was a mistake that took many sacrifices and much suffering to correct. Today, our right to live, love and think how we want to is at risk again. Let's make sure the Nazis lose again.

I worked with Tobi multiple times in the past and would love to again. He’s great, if you can reach out and hire him 💚

Just posted a short and sweet article about how to compile Go code to WASI (WebAssembly) and run it from Elixir using wasmex. 🔗 yasoob.me/posts/running-… #myelixirstatus #webeamtogether #elixir #wasm #erlang

@spawnfest status It's done... a really buggy Smart Cell to run Rust and Zig (possible to add more backends) in your @livebookdev ! This was a really fun challenge! Thank you again for another great year 🎉 Also TIL zig isn't supported in Monaco code editor...

My talk on using Elixir as a DSL & compiler for WebAssembly is now up! This project has been a ton of fun, with low-level programming, web standards, and lots of API design. youtube.com/watch?v=UnMcBa…

Latest 4am experiment: Write and compile Rust to wasm and run it using github.com/tessi/wasmex by @philipptessenow Next step: add Zig and Golang The idea is to have a simple way to have a "serverless" functions in any language using wasm to run them #myelixirstatus

If you haven't read through the Erlang Efficiency Guide, I would highly suggest you do so 😉. Tons of great information in there to level up your BEAM skills 🚀. It should only take you an afternoon to work though it too! erlang.org/doc/efficiency… #MyElixirStatus

#myelixirstatus macro question: Is there a way to generate a function that has a dynamic arity that would use string interpolation to concat the arguments of said function? Trying to do some code generation (AST => Macro to String) and readability would be a plus

I wrote a new library in @elixirlang today. It provides an Ecto fragment macro with named params. So named_fragment(„coalesce(:a, :b, :a)“, a: 1, b: 2) expands to fragment(„coalesce(?, ?, ?)“, 1, 2, 1). Useful for long fragments or when params repeat. genserver.social/notice/AXjOq7Y…

Wasmex will have support for limiting CPU/memory usage soon genserver.social/notice/ARLZ66V… It's so much fun to have some dedicated open source time this week!
