Those are air bubbles between the glass slide and cover slip… People who never looked into a light microscope shouldn’t try to interpret pictures from one.
And then we get to listen to the “pretty” people who have been stripped of their ability to live off their looks complain interminably about masking during a pandemic (and turn to OnlyFans, apparently).
In continental Europe and Asia it’s not uncommon to see attractive people working ordinary service jobs—airport staff, drivers, security guards, etc. Seems like in the US (and UK) hot people quickly figure out how to capitalize on their looks or maybe there is a greater economic…

my theory for why certain activities (taking a walk, weightlifting, chatting w a friend, etc) have such a drastic impact on mental state — we're so digitally disembodied 90% of our waking hours that anything that reminds us we're a human inside a body feels incredibly resonant,

I'm curious to see if repeat covid infections affect the average age of professional sports people. Interesting to see the youngest team in the Premier League at the top of the league table too.
From harm to the immune system’s control of fungal infections, to increased likelihood of strep A infection after Covid shown by the BMJ, it looks like I was correct in how Covid wears down our immunity. It also causes rapid turnover of t cells thetyee.ca/Analysis/2022/…
We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests except for PISA in HS and they outperform us every time. When we can’t give students more recess, physical activity & Arts then we don’t understand education.
Before the next election, you might want to find a better way to poll anyone under the age of 30 since they would rather pick up a pinless grenade than a call from an unknown number.

If you bike, especially with kids, please read and practice this.
Once when I was young, around 8 or so, we had a garage sale. My siblings and I were killing time riding our bikes along the sidewalk and this guy stopped in. But he wasn't there to buy anything. He went up to my mom, introduced himself and said he'd stopped because he saw us...
