Tomorrow, there will be a demonstration by scientific workers against the current precarious nature of scientific careers in Portugal. Join us and have your voice heard, starting from the Ministry of education, science and innovation at 2.30pm! 🧬 🪧

Congratulations to PhD student Victor Mello from the Sartori lab on his pre print that takes a deep dive into the relationship between energetics and conformation of AAA+ molecular motors 🦾🔬🧬 Really cool work Victor!

Excited about molecular motors? Check out our latest preprint exploring the energetics of a molecular motor in its mechanochemical cycle using cryo-EM structures doi.org/10.1101/2024.1…

Today, I reflect on the legacy of @IGCiencia over the last 60 years and what it has meant for research and the scientific community in Portugal and beyond. IGC was never just a place—it was a pioneering model. #IGCLegacyLivesOn 1/5

New paper alert! 🚨 Congratulations IGC PhD student @afonsomendes92 on this incredible body of work, when you can’t answer your biological question, why not develop a new method to make it work! Check it out! 👏

🚨🖥️🦠 OMG! #SReD is live and SHREDDING! Tap into the power of structural repetition to see new things! I'm clearly biased, but our method sure isn't! Let me show you what it can do 🧵👇doi.org/10.1101/2024.0… #opensource #microscopy #biology
