So your platform is functionally useless without Canada Post? Sounds like the people who make up your entire support system should get a fair deal.

At least 67k small businesses on Shopify use Canada Post, and will be affected by them going on strike right on BFCM weekend. Canada Post has a government monopoly on delivering to P.O. boxes and is the only carrier supplying rural areas. This should not be allowed.

We've already had two: Bela Lugosi was a union organizer and vocal antifascist before and during WW2 And Al Lewis organized tenant strikes and would forcibly move people back into their apartments after they'd been evicted

a lot of emotional labor/"it's not my job to educate you" mf that's the basis of organizing. Obviously this relates to when someone's engaging you in good faith but there is a tendency to confuse privileged ignorance with intentional provocation

Something that Tanya Talaga said a couple of weeks ago that hasn’t left me: when you think of Murray, think of the weight of hearing thousands of accounts of untold horror, and the toll it would take on your body. Think of taking that on. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

NIMBYism at it's finest. I'd rather have a shelter in my neighbourhood than neighbours like Jennifer. Perhaps you could volunteer some time or money to help unhoused folks rather than complain about them? Wild idea, I know.

If you’re wondering what it’s like to live in Toronto… This is my neighbourhood. We learned this week that the city is secretly planning to build an 80 bed men’s shelter in our community. youtu.be/VeRvvHqjNgk

.@PierrePoilievre This charitable event has been going on in BC for years, you ignoramus. It is a unique event that farmers organized to sell off vegetables that don’t meet size or shape requirements. Normal people know that. Populist elites obviously don’t. #cdnpoli

Stunning. 15000 people wait in the pouring rain for hours for some “ugly” rejected potatoes. Thousands turned away when food ran out. Is this the 1930s?

Errors are excusable, I think @nationalpost is simply run by bad, untalented people. They lie or mislead a lot, while being indignant crybullies. They reek of pseudo-intellectualism found in the “heterodox” movement, which is just unoriginal neoconservative debate club wannabes.

National Post error. Again.

A clear majority of #Canadians refuse to accept that their appetite for cheap goods, cheaper labour, instant gratification, and 24/7 convenience cannot be satisfied without immigrants working and living under slave-like conditions.

For the first time in a quarter-century, a long-term tracking poll has found a clear majority of Canadians believe the country has accepted too many immigrants. trib.al/HgE1j7j

After years in this business, I'm pretty hardened. I've seen many horrors. But watching people being burned alive last night, stretching out their hands for help. A man in a hospital bed with an IV attached going up in flames. It felt like a new horror, akin to a vision of hell.
