Happy to exploit infinite 3 month Spotify Premium trials and just duplicate my library to a new burner account each time, as I honestly think they’re a dogshit company

Overworking leads to diminishing results, don't romanticize killing yourself, 40% efficiency of 15 hours is less than 100% of 8 hours

im at 16 does that mean more than 1? hahaha

Ending to The Penguin was brutal and actually fairly unexpected (for me at least..) Probably best thing I’ve seen released this year, killer show overall, honestly gives a Sopranos type vibe

both episodes so far have been heaters, recommended for sure

You’ve heard of lemon drizzle cake, but have you mfs ever tried ORANGE drizzle? My mind is blown

incremently improving the longer term EV of your trade decisions made going forward is more important than the +/- pnl you put up today

Lackluster performance from myself in October, but done the review and pinpointed my most frequent + costly (known) leaks These are cancer to your trading and cutting them out (or at least reducing their frequency) is really the lowest hanging fruit to improving performance

same thing is true for discretionary imo, simpler models/heuristics tend to be more robust across different conditions than very complex stuff

One of the biggest dichotomies in quant I have found: “Simple” models adjust to changing dynamic market conditions “better” than the most advanced techniques This deserves its own white paper. Maybe I’ll submit our findings. Good luck out there today.

4 archetypal market participant types (courtesy of @insiliconot) unironically a lot of information there compressed into succinct meme format understand these different players and you have a pretty decent picture of a lot of whats goin on

somehow only just got around to reading the first volume of Akira I can see clearly why its so highly acclaimed and the influence its had on later works of science fiction Very very cool, have also heard the 1988 movie is a masterpiece in its own right so will check that out

very good long form interview, if you can look past the somewhat clickbaity title. Lance is the real deal, trades quite differently to me, but most of what he talks about is pretty universally applicable imo youtube.com/watch?v=-jGUSk…

was browsing my archives + thinking about this one today, definitely pertinent to my own approach as a side note I highly recommend making ur own local copies of info u find valuable (or may find valuable in the future), am all too familiar with how ephemeral it can be otherwise

had a dream last night where (amongst many other seemingly unrelated things) I was chilling with DJ Premier + told him this track was prob top 5 instrumentals he produced which is more meaningful given the absurd size of his catalogue stone cold CLASSIC youtube.com/watch?v=5D7BA8…

slow day so had some free time, trying to sketch more consistently again 1 thing I’ve learned is that our brain is so familiar with human anatomy (particularly faces) the smallest of details/shapes can make a huge difference to whether something looks believable, its kinda crazy

almost invariably, my highest pnl weeks are on lower end of the spectrum in terms of number of trades taken, compared to losing weeks which most often avg a larger number of executions some kind of lesson in there perhaps for me, less is quite often more, quality>quantity etc

fucked up yesterday, fell back into an old bad habit of trying to force something, when the objective truth is that per my definitions of what makes a valid trade opportunity, there was simply nothing for me to do no sulking about it, we analyse the mistake + do better next time

Quite an absurd one sided tape in ES today, probably worth a hindsight study later on

started the new season of Blue Lock, very cool so far (think Bachira still my fav character) something about this show unironically fires me up to keep striving to become better + evolve my game the skill ceiling is so absurdly high in trading, does a ceiling even exist?🤔

Alc's evolution over the years has been beautiful to watch, solidified as one of the gods at this point imo, his production body of work unmatched - really cool to see him rapping more these days too have a good Friday/weekend bros youtube.com/watch?v=N-guHU…

really nice article, all points made translate quite directly to trading performance imo golfdigest.com/story/bobrotel…
