I've been in such a mental health shitshow that the election actually shocked me out of it and now I have an actual career plan for the first time since COVID?
It seems like most things humans need to function are now considered radical. Rest is radical. Not wanting to get sick is radical. Wanting to work less hours and be able to afford a house is radical. Even stating you don’t want people to die is radical. This isn't sustainable.
I only come here every few weeks anymore because this site, whatever it's called, has become unrecognizable, and every time I check in it's like a fever dream that just gets more unhinged.

In my labor history class today, I brought up the notorious Pinkertons and a couple students excitedly informed me of a video game called Red Dead Redemption 2 in which the Pinkertons are the villains. "I killed so many of those guys," one student said. I learn a lot from them.
