You may not like it, but this is what peak UI/UX design looks like
When you're a solopreneur, you're always either full of self-doubt or ridiculously overconfident. There's no in between.
At this rate I'll get more followers on bluesky than on X. If you're building something, try it out. There's a lot of stuff happening in the #buildinpublic community. Especially portuguese people, I don't see many of us over there yet
Wonder what my real follower count on here is. If I open my follow list, all the recent ones are bots and fake accounts. Real, active followers are probably 50-100 max
Am I missing something with v0? All the frontends it generates are pretty terrible. Or do you need a pro license for proper results? Claude 3.5 sonnet generates much better UIs.
Azeiteiros unite
I've been trying out voice transcription macOS apps, and wow, what a game changer. You can get a ton of writing done so much faster and thoughts just flow much easier. Goodbye writer's block And for someone like me, who spends way too much time silently staring at a monitor,…
Joined the new trending social media and for some reason it decided that my feed should be full of flowers and bird pictures. Signs I should drop everything and become a gardener #rosewednesday #gardeningfeed
Trying out bluesky but it seems a bit buggy. The UI looks unfinished in the web version and posting/following doesn’t work half the time.
We need a Strava competitor
Strava’s just announced some massive changes that will ultimately kill off a lot of 3rd party apps, impact other platforms, and reduce the value of Strava. Here’s why this matters, who’s it going to break, and more: dcrainmaker.com/2024/11/strava…
Seriously considering this for 2025. Instead of the old-school hourly rate or project estimates, offering a fixed monthly rate to clients for my dev and design services. - No bullshit, little to no meetings - Fixed priced per month - Focus on speed/building fast If you're…
5. Offer a subscription (obviously). It doesn't mean you start an agency. But offer your design skills as a service for a fixed monthly fee. Upfront, fixed pricing is a huge selling point to clients. Added bonus that you'll never have to quote projects ever again (yay).
I should move to Lisbon just because of all the amazing cafes you have to work from. Makes it easy to do deep work every day like @thepatwalls keeps on talking about
