Not to be alarmist but…this is what’s called a six-sigma event, now unfolding in Antarctica. Otherwise known as a once-in-7.5-million-year event. Hang onto your hats. HT @EliotJacobson

TEACHERS - 4 keys to success in building a positive classroom learning environment. 1-Passion and energy 2-Clear expectations and routines 3-Student Engagement 4-Relationships
Sorry I was a bit slow to this. Would you still like our apologies?
A week after Brexit and Dover port working fine. Still no apologies from the Project Fear commentators and media forecasters.
This is not what people are demanding the PM resign over. And your disingenuous patronising reframing is not going to stick.
Controversial opinion: on the whole, I don't think education is broken and I don't think we need a new model of education 🤷♀️
I'm basically looking for new models of education / education policies that go beyond 'we need comprehensive education'
Kind of been thinking after the last round of reports and parent meetings. They, along with marking are necessary evils. But are they bad because those are where we are held accountable to some extent? That may well be my case.
So people. Now it’s half term, who is going to do all those jobs you were going to do during the Christmas, October half term and the summer holidays?
Remote learning hasn't worked in the past. What can we do to make it succeed in the future? Latest blog - it's a long one! daisychristodoulou.com/2020/03/remote……uld-make-it-work/
Science teachers: particularly KS3 (or higher), where do you stand on teaching “separate” bio/chem/physics topics or “themes” such as machines (e.g. levers, skeletons etc)

So from Thatcher, Thatcher milk snatcher, we have gone to May, May takes your school dinners away.* (*Unless you live in Northern Ireland because she needs DUP support). #sameoldtories m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/tory-dup…
Carillion blacklisted trade unionists, ran up £600m pension deficit while protecting execs' bonuses, Tories gave party donor boss billion-pound contracts while firm in meltdown, now demanding a state bailout. Yet welfare claimants demonised as scroungers. What a bizarre country.
I have always wondered about learning objectives. It seems silly, especially for a new topic to tell the students they are learning stuff they don’t understand yet. Maybe better “What we learnt today” at the end or part way through #MarkPlanTeach
Schools should be more teacher-centred.. Is yours? teacherhead.com/2016/06/12/sch…
Seeing Theresa May accidentally throw away 4 guaranteed years in high office, makes me feel better about the time I lost an Amazon giftcard
If you're a grandpa too and you vote Tory, you might as well be putting rocks in your grandchildrens' little rucksacks, you shithead.
Begin with the end: plan the unit of work then use this to inform lesson plans. Refine accordingly #teachlikeachampion
Make no apology: put a positive spin on "mundane" topics to encourage access for all students #teachlikeachampion
