Does this change our standard for how long to treat cancer-associated VTE? It was a select group, but efficacy benefit without more bleeding is compelling

#CircAHA24 PE Trial: Longer anticoagulation therapy (rivaroxaban for 18 months) had a benefit in patients with cancer and acute low-risk pulmonary embolism compared to shorter 6-month treatment. @saipon_yuji @GunmaUnivNKoita ahajrnls.org/3UYD9Hz

We received so many text & emails this evening. Patients have so many questions and appreciate these informative meetings. Thank you!

Outstanding presentation by @SanthiKGanesh to our @HarringtonHVI @FMDartery virtual patient group: What the patient should know about FMD/SCAD genetics. Able to host 250 people from around the world. Appreciate her making complex genetic concepts accessible (Pardon rough images)

Discussion of psychological impact of #SCAD #FMD including loss, anxiety, PTSD, depression, sudden change in health status and ability to do ADLS…. lack of knowledgeable health care providers amplifies anxiety. #AHA24

We encourage patients to share their story and educational materials with local EMT, Fire Department, and the education dept at local hospitals.

Always inspired by experience of others at #AHA24…. Realize I can do more to educate my local EMS/first responders about #SCAD . Young women often dismissed. Thanks for the motivation @SCADalliance @katherinekleon @AliMoranVascMed I will get to it!

This team is driving the awareness, education and research of FMD.
