🗳️🇮🇪People Before Profit-Solidarity is running the largest number of socialist candidates in any general election we’ve ever had. Our candidates are workers, carers, nurses, educators, activists, musicians, renters, mothers and fathers. Every one of them has fought tirelessly…
We need campaigners like @HazelPBP who bring our community together to fight for the arts spaces that bring our cities and towns to life. Cllr De Nortúin started the process of getting the Rupert Guinness Theatre back open after passing a motion on DCC. Exciting things ahead!
Today, I got the opportunity to see inside the Rupert Guinness theatre with some of the variety groups who would have had shows there, throughout the years. I've asked DCC to see how it could be opened to the community again - talks on going 🙏
🏡10 years ago we saw the housing crisis coming. We warned the government about what would happen. They didn’t listen. Their ideas got us here and our ideas will get us out. We need a state construction company to build the public housing we need ourselves. We need rent…
An Ireland where public transport is free and frequent is possible! Is féidir linn Éire ina bhfuil an córas iompar poiblí saor agus maith a bhaint amach. Free and frequent public transport is: ✅ Good for people ✅ Good for workers ✅ Good for communities ✅ Good for the…
More and more countries are making public transport free. Why? ✅ Reduce the cost of living ✅ Speed up loading & unloading times ✅ Save money on ticket printing, machines & enforcement ✅ Reduces traffic ✅ Cuts emissions PBP would abolish fares & double capital investment
Universal free public transport is among the measures People Before Profit has said it would introduce as part of plans to reduce emissions | Read more: rte.ie/b/1481054
The People Before Profit-Solidarity party has launched its manifesto for the General Election. Here’s what’s in it - in a minute. #election24 #ge24 #rtenews
PBP is your ticket to free, fast and frequent public transport. Scrapping fares cuts the queues, helps with the cost of living, takes cars off the road tackling traffic and emissions. PBP's manifesto has allocated the funding to double investment in buying buses, trams and…
Record homelessness, rents, and house prices are a result of government policy. It's a failed policy of trying to 'incentivise' the private market. We need a state construction company, we need rent controls. Housing should be a right, not a millionaire's right to profiteer.
The far-right are targeting our campaign because we try to unite people against FF/FG and the multi-millionaires they represent. They want to divide people. We need to reject their hate and stand together.
Notice how this far right eejit Paul Nolan passed FF posters and went straight to take down PBP’s @paulmurphy_TD poster. What a useful idiot.
Another Ireland is Possible. That was People Before Profit's message at today's manifesto launch. See for yourself, here: pbp.ie/ge24/manifesto/ #AnotherIrelandIsPossible #peoplebeforeprofit #votepbp #NoCoalitionWithFGFF #ge24
I'm sorry, but just go back and look at what the Greens were saying before the 2020 GE. All very similar stuff. Look at Labour in 2011. You can have all the red lines and deal breakers you want. You won't achieve any of it in coalition with FF/FG. Soc Dems should rule it out.
The Social Democrats want to go into government. Not to make up the numbers, but to make a difference. These are our dealbreakers for any government formation talks.
We need to move away from for-profit model on care says @bridsmithTD @pb4p 👉Companies are profiting from caring for people who need it, quality of jobs has decreased 👉 State needs to step in on care 👉State pensioners living in poverty - this must change
Fine Gael leader Simon Harris was challenged about the Govt's action over homelessness by PBP member Kieran Allen while campaigning in Dublin today | More election coverage: rte.ie/b/1480848
Simon Harris confronted over the homelessness crisis on Capel Street Taoiseach told he “should be ashamed of yourself”
