Thanks to our First Lady @AbbyPalmerCox for bringing together educators and legislators tonight to talk about Utah education. It was helpful to hear firsthand teachers experiences with absenteeism, behavior issues, class sizes and more. #utpol
Finally: Great Salt Lake license plates could hit bumpers in the next couple of months ksltv.com/703562/great-s…
Genuine thank you to the good folks in House District 18 who put their trust in me and voted to allow me to represent them in the Utah Legislature for another 2 years. I am grateful for your trust and support. #utpol
Great turnout tonight of optimistic, accountable, forward thinking, problem solving Republicans in Farmington at the Utah Governing Conservatives meeting. Thanks to @GovCox @CurtisUT @RepMaloyUtah for supporting Davis County
Two chances to meet and discuss political issues this week. Today, Monday Oct 28th, I'll be at a "Meet & Greet" at 6PM before the "Utah Governing Conservatives" meeting at the Farmington Community Center Tomorrow, Tuesday Oct 29th, we have a Kaysville town hall 6:30-8PM
Good discussion today with @CurtisUT on conservative climate solutions at the “Finding Common Ground on Climate Solutions”. Thanks to Scott Anderson and the organizers for putting this together @beckyforutah
Great info regarding the judges on your ballot:
Thanks to those who joined @raywardutah , Joani Stevens and me at the Centerville Library tonight for a good discussion on local and state education issues (along with housing, growth, tax policy and constitutional amendments). I always learn something new from town halls.
Very interesting legislative Housing Market Update today from the Gardner Institute. Data confirms we still have a significant shortage of housing units, and it’s very difficult to move from renting to owning. Home ownership is key to long term wealth creation. #utpol
🙏Thanks to those who attended our town hall at the Farmington Library tonight. We had a great lively discussion on Constitutional Amendments, judges, A.I. water, taxes, education, public lands, road rage, and even medical cannabis odor.😀👍
Two great chances to learn more about local issues: 1) House District 18 Meet the Candidates forum today Thurs 5PM hosted by the Davis County League of Women Voters us02web.zoom.us/j/86002229372 (recording posted afterwards by LWV) 2) Farmington Library Town Hall tonight 6:30-8PM
Thanks to our Davis County @NAIFA for the opportunity to speak to local insurance and financial advisors about legislative issues this week. We had a great discussion on fiscal policies.
Utah-- Please drive friendly out there--we all want to come home safe. State lawmaker says it's time to educate Utahns about road rage incidents fox13now.com/news/driven-to…
First statistics released after several months of enhanced road rage law suggest that incidents are exceeding all our estimates -- we all need to drive safer! kslnewsradio.com/2141548/first-…
It was inspiring to attend Davis Technical College Foundation’s Annual Life-Changer Luncheon where we heard stories of how technical education has changed individual lives. Utah’s Tech Colleges are doing amazing work! @Davistechcolleg
What issues are you most concerned about? I’d love to hear from you at one of the four upcoming town halls: Oct 10 Centerville Library 6-8pm Oct 15 South Davis Community Facebook group 6:30-8pm Oct 16 Farmington Library 6:30-8pm Oct 29 Kaysville City Hall 6:30-8pm
Thanks to the many generous people who made the Layton Teen Center possible. It was emotional to hear about the generosity of our community. I have confidence that SwitchPoint, a private nonprofit with a great track record will do a great job helping these kids. @dsdfoundation
And the election drama continues
#BREAKINGNEWS: A judge as struck Amendment D as VOID. It can be printed on the ballots but it is "void and has no effect." The state has said they will appeal. @KSL5TV #utpol
