I am a Chiefs fan. I have been my whole life. What happened today at the Super Bowl parade is heartbreaking, terrifying, and disgusting. We act like we are powerless to solve this issue, but we aren’t. Our politicians just lack the resolve and backbone to do it.
Teacher retention: if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.

Please don't remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas. These classes are just as important for overall education and may be their favorite classes and one reason they like school.

When someone says that “teachers should just shut up and teach,” it only reveals that: - they have NO CLUE what teachers actually do every day. - if all teachers had to do was teach, there would not be a teacher exodus. - they lack every quality needed to be a teacher.
