Building a fan base by 1. Consistently Making good music. 2. Hooking up with local artists and producers/build relationships. Hire a manager or get yourself to open for bigger artists and advertise your socials. Do small venues for your own fans you built. Let them post you. Boom
that’s a big “if” when 40,000 new tracks are uploaded daily to Spotify... what are the odds an independent artist even cracks 1 million streams
fair enough, but i was just getting at that artists should think twice about releasing independently vs. signing with a label whether artists are even fighting for a fair piece of the pie to begin with is an entirely different question, that's A LOT more complicated
