Uguru There's something about uguru (harmattan). It's as if all the elements are preparing for the end of one era and the beginning of another. The wind announces its presence by lifting everything in its way. The whistling pines respond in harmony, singing glad tidings.

I feel positive about the coming weeks.

It was strange leaving my bracelets behind when I was younger, now it’s even more stranger forgetting my AirPods.

I keep telling younger colleagues they need not be hard on themselves. All those fine skills like IV cannulation will be learned on the job.

3 days into this locum, and I am convinced that thing we did in medical school was nonsense. I have always known, but it's refreshing to see this dynamic before starting my HJ. I'm the youngest doctor here, but the way I converse with the older doctors, the respect is palpable.

I’ve worked with a lot of people within a short period, and I can say in most instances that system kind of colleagues are to be avoided, especially if you want to change such systems for good.

You don’t win Nigerian elections by being nice!

Yesterday, some of my friends told me I'd make a very good politician but the problem is that I won't win any election in Nigeria. They said I'll not be willing to play the dirty game required to win

My Dean of Studies back in secondary school would always echo “if you think education is expensive, try ignorance”. Education may not be entirely free, but it should be made fairly affordable.

BREAKING NEWS: Abia State government has announced free and compulsory education for all children in the state irrespective of their state of origin.

I think it’s time I gave room for impulse tweeting here on out.

Assisted in my first caesarean section 11 days ago to deliver a beautiful baby. Glory be to God.

Every system in this country makes it harder each day not to think of japa. All Nigerians know how to do is to drag for undeserved respect.

Didn’t get a chance to know his dad, and had no formal education, but however trained his younger brother through school (primary to tertiary), same with my siblings and I. I am a medical doctor today because he made sure of that.

Brag about your DAD.

How can a young child have both sickle cell disease and HIV? Paediatrics medicine can make one question a lot.

I have a story to tell.

My hematologist asked me to run some tests after clinic today and I can’t even comfortably afford these investigations as a Nigerian Doctor. It’s so bad. I can’t even imagine how a lot of sickle cell warriors are surviving in this current economic situation. It is well ohh!
