Yesterday, I raised on the floor of Parliament the issue of high cost of road construction in Uganda . Constructing a km of a tarmac road in Kenya costs Ugx 1.6 bn,In Tanzania, Ugx 2.1 bn and in Uganda 4.1 bn Ugx, twice more than in Kenya and Tanzania.Invesigations are needed!

Today 250 farmers in Kole North received 118m Ugx crop insurance payout for the loss they suffered due to drought in an initiative I championed. Some paid premiums as low as 30,000 Ugx but have received 700,000 Ugx!

With World bank's suspension of loans to Uganda all we need is to fight corruption from which we loose 9.1 trillion Ugx each year. A km of tarmac costs 3.1 bn Ugx in Uganda while in Kenya its at 1 bn Ugx.Many of the projects in Uganda can be done at half the cost.Lets do it!

Congratulations Lango Province for the 3:0 victory over Kigezi province. Lango Parliamentary group recognised the team with a 5,000,000 Ugx contribution for the great performance.
