Somtimes we're slackers about posting photos, so here's a pic of our October delivery of 100 books to keep the jail's library shelves stocked.

Remember a couple weeks ago, when we asked for books for teens and Spanish-speaking men being held at Orleans Parish Jail? Well, you all delivered! Check out this beautiful stack of books, which were among the 60 we delivered yesterday--in the rain, because the work never stops.

Even while planning a festival, the mission-fulfilling work of creating community through a shared reading experience never stops! We provided 25 copies of our 2024 selection, "Black Creole Chronicles" by @redbeansista , to the "For the Love of Books" club at @du1869

The best part of the Louisiana Book Festival was seeing the authors of our past three selections together in one place!

We provided 40 copies of "Black Creole Chronicles" by @redbeansista to UNO's Upward Bound program. UB serves high school students from low-income families and families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree. Fun fact: Our director is a graduate of a UB program.
