I understand that UN rescue teams are afraid to go to Kherson because Russians shell the area. But why is Russia still in the UN then and still considered to be a civilized country on an international level? As my friend Alison said:

The situation on the flooded occupied territory is pure horror. Russians are not letting people evacuate and shelling the area. Some brave Ukrainians managed to reach it by boat and attempt to rescue people from the rooftops under shelling. People share heartbreaking stories:

Hearing “but do not let hate consume you” from privileged foreigners these days sounds legitimately triggering. RUSSIA IS KILLING OUR PEOPLE, NATURE AND WIPING OUR TOWNS OFF THE MAP EVERY DAY. LET US HATE, LET US BE ANGRY, BE ANGRY WITH US BECAUSE IDK HOW YOU ARE NOT YET.

As the horror in Ukraine continues and the situation on the flooded occupied territories becomes increasingly grim, the international organizations as the UN and Red Cross continue to stay uninvolved and completely ignore the pleas for help.

Hi everyone, I don't know how many of my followers are real people who care about Ukraine and how many are bots. I would like to address the real people who choose to stand with Ukraine in these dark times. Could you please try retweeting as many of my posts about the…

Right now I am in the center of Kherson. Water arrives very quickly, and the air smells of oil. We will feel the consequences of this disaster for decades to come. Russia is a terrorist state!

As someone who cares about nature, tries to be eco-friendly, has been following major eco-activists for years, participated in marches against climate change and donated to various environmental orgs - to see them ignoring the unfolding ecocide in Ukraine is the peak of hypocrisy

So just to recap. A European city is being bombed by its neighbour night after night while innocent people sleep in their beds. There is nothing, nothing normal or ok about any of that.

3:40 am in Kyiv, Ukraine. i’ve lost count of which night it is that I wake up from continuous explosion sounds. I just know that this is the 3rd time in 24 hours that russia is bombing Kyiv with dozen of missiles and kamikaze drones. Just because it can. 🧵

This is verbatim what the dudes who nailed Jesus to the cross said as they nailed Jesus to the cross

"You gotta teach everybody on how to include everybody? That's horse shit" says Rep. JJ Humphrey who along with Rep. Standridge, are proposing Senate Concurrent Resolution 12. It directs OK Universities to immediately discontinue and disband their DEI programs in whole. (1/5)

Gov. Kevin Stitt has vetoed SB 429, which would require public #oklaed schools to allow tribal regalia during graduation ceremonies. The veto message begs a lot of questions, but "special favor to wear whatever they please at a formal ceremony" draws a fun one: Parental rights?

Hearing f/😡 folk that the gov vetoed a bill to fund OETA; all askin me to override it. I’ll vote to do so, but as I’m not part of the majority which does his bidding, I can’t promise that a vote’ll occur. If you’re 😡 about this, time to holler @ the “CEO” of OK & let him know.

TBH I'm surprised we even have libraries in this state still

Governor Stitt responds to questions about his veto of legislation to renew OETA's authorization for another three years. "That to me is an outdated system, it might have had its place in 1957. Why are we spending taxpayer dollars to prop up OETA..." (1/4) @kfor

Wish it didn't feel like the loudest crickets RE: this in OK with @MaureeTurnerOK

Voices across the country continue to rise for justice and expose the anti-democratic behavior of people in Republican led states. We will not let our democracy die without fighting for every voice. We are in this fight from Memphis to Montana! #LetHerSpeak #Justin4Justice

"Statton, her husband, and her mother-in-law drove to a Wichita abortion clinic, the closest facility that would terminate her pregnancy. As her family waited in the parking lot surrounded by protestors with signs that said “stone all the whores,” Statton had her fetus removed."

Jaci Statton's pregnancy threatened her life but two Oklahoma hospitals would not perform an abortion, citing state law. It's an example of the confusion the state's multiple abortion bans have caused for doctors and patients. oklahoman.com/story/news/pol…

Watching two men misgender each other on the floor, for fun, as we wait hearing SB613 is a different level of disgusting.

Good morning to readers. Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands. Please RT this thread. It’s an important one. Some news: I’m leaving NPR as part of the layoffs that dramatically cut the org's workforce. I’ve decided to go back into Ukraine to keep reporting. But this time, alone.

Twenty-eight years ago today, our state was forever changed due to an act of violence spurred by hatred. While we honor our fellow Oklahomans whose lives were touched by that terrible event, let us also remember the lethal cost of hate. Never forget.
