I'm working outside on campus today, so I feel strongly that our job announcements should include a photo of campus as seen from the student run coffee shop. Come work with us!
Come work with me and my colleagues! Happy to answer any questions about a Science Librarian faculty position that we've just posted here at @AULibrary ! apply.interfolio.com/107502 Please RT! #libraryjobs #higheredjobs
1) My city has the coolest public library. 2) I really want a bike like this for setting up assignment-specific displays and research assistance in front of campus buildings. Time to look for grants?

Every librarian deserves a partner dean who lifts them up and values their work like @VickyWilkins1 of @AU_SPA does. Thank you for being on team @AULibrary! 😊
I’ve never given much thought to a New Years Day outfit, but my husband nailed it.
I use this one with @AU_SPA GOVT-310 students looking for downloadable data on their topics. A database worth bookmarking, for sure!
Where can you find numbers to compare presidential approval? #RoperCenter has an excellent compilation of public opinion on many subjects. #KnowYourAUStatisticalDatabases ropercenter.cornell.edu/ipoll/
This is where my kid learned to ride a bike. It took moving away to see what was extraordinary about my childhood home. I think a lot about what makes up his “normal” and wonder how it will shape him as he grows.

A kind and charismatic man I knew from home died yesterday from Covid-19. He had an autoimmune disorder that prevented him from getting the vaccine. We keep failing one another and I don't know how to make it better. Do something to make the world a little better today. Please.
I have several meetings today but my mind is preoccupied with the package USPS says is "out for delivery"... in LA. Which is not where I live; not where the package is addressed to. At least t's not a custom etsy item like the last one that disappeared into the blackhole of USPS
Today was the last day of virtual pre-k. I wish I had something insightful to say about lessons learned or where the journey brought us, but mostly I'm just tired. Love to all the teachers, kids, and parents who kept going.
Oh, hey! Critical Information Literacy and partnerships with the library coming up at @june4forum!
I know I post a lot about grace but today feels like a good time to remember that anger and grief are also important and even sacred emotions for living in an unjust world.
At some early point I decided grace was going to be the only viable path through. Grace for students, administrators, colleagues, self, spouse, child. Inevitably when frustration and anger start to creep in, someone reminds me - grace. This is hard and you are doing a great job.
This is going to be another one of those days when the batteries in my wireless earbuds don't stand a chance of lasting through all the meetings. But it's Friday and the sun is shining. Let's go!
My mom reminded me last night that she used to volunteer with the PTA at my elementary school to give out coffee and donuts to voters on election day. I get the feeling she's itching to get in some #GoodTrouble the next time election day rolls around.
This piano found its way to our home serendipitously this weekend, just in time for Wellness Week. I'm using an app for lessons for now and the 30 minutes I spend practicing is such a powerful source of joy. 😍🎹🎶
Does your university value Community Based/Service-Learning? Is your library succeeding in supporting that part of the mission or strategic plan? Katherine Kott's rubric might help you figure that out, so we wrote about it here.
