BPD does NOT have a cure, it can be treated and it can be put into remission… like oh… ALMOST ALL OTHER CHRONIC ILLNESSES (shocking, I know) so that means that the person suffering from it will always have those symptoms but it’s a matter of making it manageable
they’re only a walking mess if they are undiagnosed or diagnosed but refuse to do any type of work to help themselves. someone with BDP who is aware of their BPD takes different approaches to life knowing emotional regulation isn’t their strong suit.
bpd is such a misunderstood diagnosis ☹️ once you have an understanding of what bpd is & how it (can) affects someone, it isn’t difficult to deal with as long you are willing to be patient with them
dating someone with bpd is not for the weak, I’ll never tell my story out of respect but.. I don’t recommend even to my worst enemy
