It was Halloween night, 2022 at the #49ers team Halloween party. It's the last time QB Brock Purdy's teammates ever doubted him. Outside doubt still abounds but Purdy is unfazed, handling it all with the right mix of humility and bravado. Here's how... espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

#49ers added WR Jauan Jennings to the practice report today. He was limited with an ankle issue. Only other change from yesterday was TE George Kittle (hamstring) upgraded from not practicing to limited.

#49ers Thursday practice report: DNP - CB Charvarius Ward (personal), P Mitch Wishnowsky (back), DT Kevin Givens (groin), DE Nick Bosa (hip), OT Trent Williams (ankle/rest) Limited - RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles), TE George Kittle (hamstring), WR Chris Conley…

Nick Bosa yesterday made it clear practice would be unlikely much, if at all, this week. "It's going to be definitely close... I kind of tried to push through last week in practice and that didn't work, so I'm just going to rest this whole week and see what happens."

#49ers I did NOT see participating in early open portion of Thursday’s practice: DE Nick Bosa (hip) OT Trent Williams (ankle) CB Charvarius Ward (personal) DT Kevin Givens (groin) P Mitch Wishnowsky (back) RB Jordan Mason is participating but back in blue no contact jersey.

#49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is, as expected, back in practice today.

Turns out, Metcalf was actually a full participant today while Lucas was limited. Leonard Williams was a non-participant with a foot injury.

One more note on #49ers injury front: DL Yetur Gross-Matos, who is still on IR, was listed as a full participant today. A good sign he could be activated for Sunday's matchup with Seattle if the rest of the week goes well.

#49ers CB Renardo Green is good to go for practice today after leaving Sunday's game late with a toe injury.

#49ers anticipated practice report for today, per Kyle Shanahan: DNP - CB Charvarius Ward (personal), TE George Kittle (hamstring), P Mitch Wishnowsky (back), DT Kevin Givens (groin), DE Nick Bosa (hip), OT Trent Williams (ankle/rest) Limited - RB Christian McCaffrey…

#49ers DE Nick Bosa (hip) will not practice today. He's unlikely to practice much at all this week, noting that it "will be close" in terms of being able to play against Seattle. Bosa said last week was the most pain he's played through in a game in his career.

Kyle Shanahan says there isn’t much concern about Kittle’s availability this week. He’s expecting Kittle to practice in some capacity on Thursday.

#49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) will not practice today.

Niners released DT TY McGill from the practice squad to make room for O’Donnell.

With P Mitch Wishnowsky dealing with a back injury, the #49ers are adding P Pat O’Donnell to the practice squad for additional depth. Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Wishnowsky would be monitored as week goes on. Clearly, Niners operating as though he could miss time.

NEWS STORY: #49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir agrees to a five-year, $92 million contract extension after solidifying himself among the league's top corners... (H/T @JFowlerESPN) espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

The #49ers next "core" group of players is taking shape. WR Brandon Aiyuk, CB Deommodore Lenoir will be integral and, of course, QB Brock Purdy is likely next. To go with vets who will bridge the gap such as LB Fred Warner and DE Nick Bosa.

Here's the story on #49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir from training camp in which he made it clear he wasn't in a rush to get paid with the subtext that he wanted to solidify himself as a top corner so he could be paid as such. And now he has done both... espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

This is what #49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir told me in training camp about his contract situation. He wasn’t in a rush because he felt like he could solidify himself as a top CB. He’s done that through first half of the season and now a deal gets done.

A huge deal for the Niners to get their best young corner signed before he can hit the market in the offseason.

Christian McCaffrey's return wasn't an instant fix for #49ers offense (see: continued struggles finishing with TDs) but there were signs it has the offense headed the right direction, including a season high in YAC and openings in middle of the field... espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…
