On 24th May #Bulgaria celebrates the day of its alphabet - the Bulgarian alphabet. It is known as Cyrillic but was developed in Great Preslav in the 880s-890s and became the official Bulgarian script in the early 900s. Since then many nations have adopted it, but the root is BG.
