Disturbing fact: Number 1 postnatal cause of Cerebral palsy is Gun shots!

H Hydrocephalus A Abscess C Cerebritis/CN# T thrombosis I Infarct V Ventriculitis/Vascuolopathy E Extra-axial collection e.g empyema

A good mnemonic for Comps of Acute Bact meningitis: HACTIVE

If I hear Periodic fevers, Malaria Buzzes in my head, which was actually the case and Ag testing read: P. vivaz which can be relapsing.

What infection is that? 😅

Afghani 2 yo w/ periodic fevers presents w/ seizure like spells& w/ Hx of minor head trauma which was coincidental with fever& similar epi.

Partial palsy should be investigated for compression too as sometimes compression doesn't get to pupil fibers&make it look like it's spared!

The pupil involving type is suspicious for aneurysm compressing the occulomotor nerve and require Angio.

The pupil sparing type is usually in vasculopathic entity and does not require Angio and can be followed up in OPC

lesions are subdivided into Pupil-sparing and Pupil-involving CN3 palsy. And can be divided into partial and complete.. Speaking of complete

In Third nerve palsy due to vasculopathy (DM, HTN and Others) Vs Compression Via aneurysm..

Classic variant of Central Core Disease (CCD) carries increased susceptibility of what of the following?
