Assuming the economy grows at an average of 7-8%/y for the next two decades, India’s military budget will touch $200B/y by 2035 and between $400-500B/y by 2045. The country missed the last two major eras of militarization in the industrial era - the first in the early 20th…

My two short writeups on this- 1. On method of interpretation- faith vs suspicion- nithinsridhar.wordpress.com/2022/08/09/rea… 2. On what constitutes the designation of Nastika- nithinsridhar.wordpress.com/2023/07/05/rea…

Far more knowledgeable people here who can provide better explanation. @nkgrock @sharmasatyan one can refer to scripturalists, traditionalists and secularists scholars of Sastras and Brahminical texts and heritage.

Veda is known as ‘Sruti’ & Dharmaśāstra as ‘Smriti’;in all matters,these do not deserve to be criticised,as it is out of these that Dharma shone forth.

महाभारत, मनुस्मृति, वेद, वेदाङ्ग, आयुर्वेद - यह सभी सिद्ध उपदेश वाले हैं। इनका तर्क द्वारा खण्डन उचित नहीं। Mahabharata, ManuSmriti, Veda, Vedanga, Ayurveda - all contain proven guidance. These should not be countered using argumentative approach.

And we aren't really helping ourselves by saying those Nastika Hindus who have a disdain for many of these notions of sacred are equally equal to those who revere these constructs (How much each one practices is a different story. But not having a sense of disdain and unbelief is…

Hindu civilization sacralized time as Muhurta and space as Ksetra Rishis bought ritualized cosmic order into daily life Culture Modernity abandoned sacred rituals and tries to fill it with secular ones like birthdays Digital tech monetizes these as 'appointment mechanics'
