You decide: am I a socialist to focus on the most important asset of any company - their own people and their well being? Take Nvidia and AMD. Ultimately they triumphed due to their engineers and crucially the engineers that stayed long term to work on deep tech. Their CEOs are…

India is still a socialist country whether you are running a Sapadu shop or SaaS. Capitalism is not tolerated even by those reaping capitalism benefits 😂

UPSC is the beautiful pipeline between lakhs of unemployed youths wasting the prime of their lives in Rajinder Nagar and the gated pool of the most corrupt 5000 people of India.

Pooja Singhal, an IAS officer, is in custody for embezzling MGNREGA funds meant for the poorest of the poor. She has properties worth 83 crore. At her UPSC interview that, at age 21, she was one of the youngest to clear, she pledged she will work for the poorest of the poor.…

Discovered Ragnar Axelsson's photos today. Lovely stuff.

Kaun Aayega Yahaan + Kabhi Yun Bhi To Ho is such a haunting, beautiful combination of songs and poems when heard together.

What is the SOTA on using LLMs to solve Cryptic Crosswords? Cryptics are right at the middle of logic (which LLMs are "bad" at) and language (which they are great at), plus tokenization challenges. Would make for a very interesting case study of limitations and capabilities.

Kind of interesting that Teapoy (from Hindi for "three feet") and Tepui (from Venezuela) both roughly mean "table"

My new article on the design & implementation of the CPython VM is out. It is my most comprehensive article yet, at 5500 words and 17 code listings, such as this: The VM is the most central piece of any interpreted language because this is how your code eventually executes. As a…
