This is a very hard read. But read it. Read every word and understand the tremendous suffering that Palestinian journalists have endured to keep eyes on Gaza. Wael al-Dahdouh will always be my hero in journalism. theguardian.com/world/2024/oct…

I covered Bangladesh and Hasina for the @TheEconomist for fifteen years. This is perhaps the most awful and fateful decision I have seen her take. #Bangladesh

Hey Toronto! I'm working on a segment for @metromorning about the difficulty of getting from east to west in the city via TTC or by car. Has anyone given up on a relationship or has your dating life been affected by transit issues or street closures? Give me a shout!

Last year in Edmonton, 302 homeless people died. That's up eight times what it was pre-pandemic (37 in 2019). It's part of an overall alarming increase in homeless deaths across Alberta (124 in 2019 to 787 in 2023). cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…

I wish people would understand that journalists aren't "behind" on the news just because social media posts circulate moments before our stories do. There's a thing called verification that needs to happen before we publish and embed something into the public record *forever*.

never wait at a streetcar stop if you can’t see it in the distance. the proper toronto math is to walk until you can actually see one which is often by the time you reach your destination

For a CBC business story: I'm looking for Canadians who've tried the TikTok #paydayroutine trend. Did it work for you? If it didn't, why not? Send a DM or email me at jenna.benchetrit@cbc.ca! Please RT :)

The demand for private school courses is growing. In May, there were 690 schools in Ont. offering high school credit. Up from 650 in 2020. Experts are concerned over potential mark inflation from some schools. But, students say they’re a helpful boost. cbc.ca/news/canada/st…

Hi folks! I'm doing some research for a potential story about private schools aka credit mills. If you've ever paid for a course at one of these institutions, or know anyone who has, pls give me a shout via DM or nishat.chowdhury@cbc.ca
