This is insane. Asking a criminal, who has hundreds of thousands of deaths to his credit, to stop the war makes no sense. Suggesting “negotiation” is a strategic disgrace. Any so-called agreement would give russia an opportunity to strengthen itself and push further into Europe.

This pathetic statement could have been made in 2014 or 2022 or any point in between. Putin started this war because he saw it in his interest. He won't end it until it's not in his interest. That means when Ukraine is winning, when Russia is collapsing, threatening his power.

I have just received a call from Chancellor Scholz who gave me an account of his talk with V.Putin. I was satisfied to hear that he not only condemned the Russian aggression, but he also reiterated the Polish position: „Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine”.
