The kind of thing that makes sense when you look and ponder, I enjoy that type of activity. I'd quite like to hang this on my living room wall

Mathematics. I just love factorization diagrams. They almost seem to make numbers come alive, each with a unique personality. Here are the numbers 1 to 36. By Brent Yorgey; Info: diagrams.github.io/haddock/diagra…, Used with permission

This is cool..I always wondered what they could be used for

20 years of teaching maths before discovering why we have the two different set-squares in a maths set. Together they allow for construction of every angle in multiples of 15° from 15° to 180°. Picture found from Facebook - not mine.

*taps the sign* Formula triangles suck. There are many reasons not to use them. Stop using them.

I've very sadly concluded: the way to get good healthcare (@NHSuk, or otherwise), is to not get sick. Chronic poor management & ineffective systems = desensitisation to incompetence. I'm sad to have personally experienced it and to witness loved ones continue to experience it

People watch how you treat yourself to know how to treat you. Therefore, the best way to win respect is to respect yourself first.

Dean's approach to this has been careful & deliberate.. It kept the power of mastery in mind while finding solutions to real practical obstacles in a sustainable way. I love this kind of school improvement. It's messy and takes time but works when approached responsively 👏🏽

I am proud to announce that I have been given an excellent opportunity, and I am now Acting Director of Mathematics. We have just started our 4th year of using a mastery approach to schooling, which now applies to Year R to Year 12! Exciting times ahead!

Children learn from stories, adults learn from stories, educators can grow and make improvement at scale from collaborating and learning from each others' success stories. Join us on the 7th Oct for this much anticipated CPD day with @EmathsUK & the fabulous leaders from DEMAT

If you are able to make this on the 7th Oct, I would highly recommend making the most of this rare opportunity to learn from @EmathsUK👇 @lasalleed CPD delivers high-quality sessions that inspire and guide educators to make effective changes, helping all pupils thrive.

This is exciting! A couple of things that stood out to me: - You can uphold standards & care. The school of thought that says it's one or the other, is a fallacy - How belonging can help improve the biochemistry of hormone balance I'm looking forward to following this work!
