More from the @ucdarchaeology-led Archaeology of the Irish Revolution project in East Limerick, with which I've been working. It's so important to locate and (where physical evidence still exists) record such IRA dugouts, a very important element of the guerilla infrastructure.

This weeks dugout. East Limerick Brigade HQ in 1921, a sunken area over 7m long, within a 'double-ditch'. Accessed through trap door, it had 4 bunks, an office and cooking area, and housed 3 Vols up until the Truce. @IrishResearch COALESCE fund, @ucdarchaeology @AbartaGuides

Autograph books, such as this one from Reading jail 1916, were passed in and out of prisons, and this one survived through a Limerick family called Searson. This entry is by Seán Milroy, later a TD and Senator. @IrishResearch @ucdarchaeology @AbartaGuides

Cork cyclist folks 👇👇 Sad to see another independent family business close its doors but chance to support them in final few days with half price sale on stock other than bikes.

Kilgrews cycles on Kyle Street are having a half price sale until they close their doors for good on Saturday. I popped in this afternoon and scooped this lovely brooks cambium C17 saddle for half price. Bargain. If you are in the city you might call in by Saturday. #corkcity

Delighted to attend the launch of an exhibition by students of Scoil Bernadette at Mayfield Library today. The exhibition captures the past, present and future of Cork. Amazed by the different things seen by different students in this one picture of St Luke's Church alone. 👏👏
