Now that #SummerBreak has begun, & I cant share this #PLN's great 3D work, I will share cool phenomenon that can be used for 1:1 or #DistanceLearning. The more tools in our toolbelt, the better we can build! #ngsschat #scitlap

Getting kids thinking with solid and dependable materials is an important piece of 3D learning.

🛠️ Welcome to How-to Tuesday! 🧰 Today, we’re diving into Activate Learning #LightBoxes with Brian, on location in Detroit. These handy tools are a must-have for #OpenSciEd 6.1, and we’ve got you covered with light, durable, and easy-to-assemble boxes! 📦✨ Stay tuned for more🤩

Give a kid a challenge, and they will become thinkers instead of memorizers!

Ss were promised chocolate if they could break the egg when thrown at the sheet…my chocolate was safe, but we did have some epic bloopers! 🥚🥚Such a simple and fun way to demonstrate relationship between force and time during an impulse #ITeachPhysics

Three-dimensional teaching is not new, Ts have used these pieces before. #NGSS makes this pieces more intentional and explicit. That difference will transform the classroom.

Reflecting on 3-dimensional learning: “I get nervous thinking about ALL these (SEPs) and ALL these (CCCs) and ALL these (DCIs) but when I think about these past few days, we’ve done all of these.” @BSCSorg @KYPIMSER

Successful implementation starts with consistent #PL. Ongoing training is vital for teachers.

The Leander, TX science teachers and leaders are awesome! We had a great 2 days of collaborative work! Looking forward to my next visit!

Great navigation construction! That process opens teachers eyes to the flow and coherence of @OpenSciEd units. Well done SSD teachers!

I made a map of where I've presented for @activate_learning and @official_nsta I never dreamed I'd have this opportunity. Looking forward to coloring in a few more states in the coming year. My one-time side gig is turning out to be a good 2nd career!
