Updated taskscheduler.app with a sign up modal. If you want a notification when it is ready, please sign up. Hoping to have the alpha version ready in a couple of months. #buildinpublic #indiehackers #Productivity

For desktop only the monthly calendar is left to implement + some bug fixes Then I can work on the mobile version, where it will be most useful Current version is live on taskscheduler.app Is it in a good enough state to add a waitlist page? #indiehackers #buildinpublic

Decided to drop tools and go to sleep at 10pm last night. Even when I didn’t finish the task at hand. 😴 This approach is more productive than grinding. I will be better rested and be able to think more clearly today. #buildinpublic #indiehackers

I'd like to encourage everyone to subscribe to this guy: x.com/mightyboateng It is inspiring what he is doing with less resources than most of us. And his YouTube vlogs are really engaging too! #buildinpublic #indiehacker

Spent all of yesterday trying to work out why I could drag events from left to right, but not vice versa. Then I realised the dragged event is between the mouse and target. The fix was simply using 'pointer-events: none'.😮‍💨 #buildinpublic #indiehackers #React

Is X still worth investing time in with Elon going on a Trump rant and moving the HQ from San Francisco to Texas? 🤔

UI bugs are much more entertaining than backend ones I see at my day job. I was making events draggable on the weekly calendar, and it caused these infinite "scrolling" events. Recording it here for posterity 😁 #buildinpublic #indiehackers #UI

The events weekly calendar are now more nicely formatted. Had to switch to using percentage based positioning, from pixel based. I feel like I should make them draggable / resizable on the week calender too. But not sure it's need for the MVP. #indiehackers #buildinpublic

I've been working on resizable events and various bug fixes. It's published to taskscheduler.app Have a play! #indiehackers #buildinpublic #React #UI

Published the latest WIP build to taskscheduler.app, which includes changes from the last 2 months. Try it out arranging events on the calendar page, I find it fun :) #buildinpublic #indiehackers

Eid Mubarak!

In a good place with arranging overlapping calendar events. Needs a bit more work for them to expand horizontally, but they are lining up nicely. @technoloyeezus I reverted to using pseudo columns. Here's the algorithm: stackoverflow.com/a/11323909 #buildinpublic #indiehackers

Dragging events from the calendar to the task list is implemented. React idiosyncrasies have slowed progress, but I am more used to them. Apart from building the week, and month calendars, only bug fixing remains functionality wise #buildinpublic #indiedeveloper

Fixed the final few issues with dragging tasks from a list to the calendar. Next: Dragging events from the calendar to a list. #buildinpublic #indiedev

Arranging overlapping events on a calendar works. Not perfect, but good enough for now. Was much tricker, and took longer than anticipated. But it was a good stretch of my abilities, compared to what I do for my 9-5. #indiehackers #buildinpublic #uidesign

Saw the aurora borealis for the first time. Truly a majestic sight 🤩 The camera picked it up better, but it was still visible with the naked eye despite the light pollution.

Trying to achieve goals (software) without a scheduling system (hardware) is like making Mario on the Atari. No matter how much effort you put into the software, if the hardware isn’t good enough you can only do so much. Paraphrasing @ProfCalNewport’s podcast. #Productivity

Positioning overlapping events on a calendar is trickier than I thought. Although a few adjustments are to be made, I have something that works. Also, I woke up last night and was thinking how solve this. Dreaming in algorithms 🤖 #buildinpublic #indiehackers
